Launch of a New Indication for a Popular GLP-1 Injection

The most-prescribed GLP-1 RA for patients living with type 2 diabetes, this popular injectable was recently approved to treat patients also diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. I was the lead digital writer on this launch.

In early 2025, Ozempic® received FDA approval for an expanded indication—now indicated for adults with type 2 diabetes and coexisting chronic kidney disease (CKD). As lead writer, I spearheaded content development for the relaunch of the HCP website, ozempicpro.com, a key digital touchpoint for the brand.
This update required close collaboration with client teams and partner agencies to translate emerging clinical data into clear, compliant messaging—often while that data and positioning were still being finalized. I was responsible for shaping the new indication’s digital story, ensuring clinical accuracy and consistency across web modules, and managing feedback in real time under heightened regulatory scrutiny and compressed timelines.
Navigating the launch meant anticipating the inevitable shifts that come with evolving approvals—balancing agility with precision to help ensure the brand’s online presence was launch-ready the moment the new indication was approved.
